Food has become as much a pleasure as an experience nowadays, and people are continually trying to find ways to enhance the experience of dining — it could be dining in the dark, or it could be dining with strangers, but there's no question there are entrepreneurs out there looking for the next big thing in the food industry.
Well, the owners of this restaurant have certainly found a way to elevate your dining experience. Introducing Lounge in the Sky, a restaurant that lets you enjoy the panoramic views of the city as you eat while being suspended several meters in the air.

The lounge recently had a soft launch on March 27, 2022, in the Mangkuluhur City development complex in South Jakarta, Indonesia, and it marks the country's first ever crane-lifted restaurant. If the concept sounds a little familiar to you, Malaysia also had its own version of the restaurant, which was based on the original 'Dinner in the Sky' in Belgium.
The concept of the crane-lifted lounge is backed by a 16-year safety record, and it was designed according to German standard DIN 4112, and regularly checked and maintained to ensure the safety of all guests.
The platform itself has eight tables with four seats at each one, and there are also harnesses attached to the seats for customer safety. Depending on the weather conditions, the platform is lifted up to 50 meters (164 feet) for this hour-long dining experience.
There are three dinner packages for you to choose from: Standard, Business Class, and First Class. The prices can range from Rp1.6 million (US$111) to Rp 3.7 million (US$257).
As for the food, a Standard dinner package could fetch you a four-course dinner, said to be made by an experienced chef who can offer you the city's most delicious dishes. Other packages include access to the bar for some drinks.
