When you talk about fashion shows, one of the most common names that comes to mind is Milan Fashion Week. The annual event is pretty much a no-brainer when it comes to the latest and greatest that the fashion world has to offer.
From February 22 to 28, 2022, industry icons, as well as newcomers showcased their work during the Fall/Winter show at Milan Fashion Week 2022 – the event's first in-person showcase since the COVID-19 pandemic hit.
Slay, girl. Slay.
Among the hundreds of models that took to the runway was 29-year-old Vanizha Vasanthanathan, who effortlessly strutted her stuff in looks by ACT N°1, as well as Marco Rambaldi – both design houses based in Italy.
In a video posted to Instagram, Vanizha rejoices in her Milan Fashion Week debut, donning a long slit dress featuring peonies and a landscape motif – a subtle nod to ACT N°1 co-founder Luca Lin's Chinese heritage.
Completing the look is a pair of black thigh-high boots, which (in this writer's eyes) exude a tastefully-rugged flair to balance out the delicate nature of the dress.

As glamorous as she is walking walking in Milan Fashion Week, it isn't Vanizha's first time walking down the runways of glitzy international fashion shows.
She made her runway debut at Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week 2014, before entering the global stage at the bi-annual Lakmé Fashion Week in Mumbai, India back in 2016. Vanizha has since walked the runways of Beijing Fashion Week, China Fashion Week, as well as Jakarta Fashion Week.
But there's more to Vanizha than runway appearances. She's been credited as the first Malaysian-Indian to be featured in a global campaign by French beauty retailer Sephora. Speaking to Vogue, she referred to that milestone as not just a victory for herself, but for every other person like her as well.
Congrats on your Milan Fashion Week appearance, Vanizha!
