A woman in Malaysia recently got schooled by her Grab driver for ordering a ride to reach her destination quickly.
With the heatwave, the woman had ordered a ride to save time and also to stay in the shed. Instead, she got a message on the delivery and ride app from her driver ordering her to get some exercise.
The humorous encounter was posted by the Meanwhile in Malaysia page on Facebook.
"So near also you need to take Grab," the message from the uncle read, emphasizing on the word "so near" in the Malay language. "My goodness. Take an umbrella and do some exercise la."
Finding the entire experience amusing, the woman took to Facebook to screenshot the uncle's text and vent.
"This is the first time I got scolded by a Grab driver who then canceled on me. Sorry uncle, the weather is hot, and I want to save time to arrive at my destination earlier. I'm paying anyway. Not good to behave like this," she posted in the Malay language with a laughter emoji.
Her post went viral and caught the attention of the uncle who demanded that it be taken down for breaching his privacy on Facebook.
"I demand a public apology and delete the Facebook post immediately. I give you 24 hours to do that. If you refuse, I will make a police report and I will sue you for breaching my Facebook's privacy."
The posts, picked up by Meanwhile in Malaysia Facebook page, have divided many with many in support of the woman and the rest with the uncle.
Meanwhile, a quick check by Mashable Southeast Asia found that the postings by both individuals either have been removed or set to private.
A spokesperson from Grab said that the company will not be issuing a statement or comment about the matter.
