Dropee on course to grow as it passes Endeavor’s Local Selection Panel

Fresh from raising US$7 million in Series A funding, Malaysia-based Dropee has ticked another box.

The fastest growing B2B wholesale SaaS-enabled marketplace in Southeast Asia recently gained unanimous votes and passed Endeavor’s recent Local Selection Panel (LSP) hosted by Endeavor Malaysia and Endeavor Philippines. The LSP is a rigorous merit-based selection process to select high-impact entrepreneurs.

Founded in 2017 by Lennise Ng, Haslinda Rasip, and Aizat Rahim, Dropee has – to date – helping more than 120,000 businesses with over 100,000 wholesale products listed on their website.

Through Endeavor, they aim to do more by expanding their portfolio of partners ranging from wholesalers, distributors, fulfillment, and warehousing to continue growing more sales for small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) through Dropee's digital solutions.

“We started with drop-shipping in 2017 and pivoted solely to B2B sales along the way. The challenges change and increase over time. We are now looking into customer retention rates, and how Dropee can assist in bringing down the operating cost and increase business longevity. From passing this Local Selection Panel, with the help of Endeavor mentors and their gathered expertise, we are hopeful to take on better solution routes for the business and minimize oversights as we scale Dropee bigger and stronger,” Ng said.

Dropee - the second Malaysian startup to join Silicon Valley's prestigious program, Y Combinator – is also now an alumnus of Endeavor’s ScaleUp Program Cohort 1.

The startup has set its sights on Malaysia and Indonesia before tapping into other regional markets.

Hamzah joined global industry experts Rexy Dorado (Co-founder & President of Kumu), Billy Valtos (Managing Director of Tao Corporation), and Ferish Patel (Partner of Cooley LLP) on the panel.

Dropee will now gain access to comprehensive, strategic support services,
including introductions to local and regional business mentors, and investors who will help the team address their key needs.
