The platform is the brainchild of Tulika Sahai, a mother of two. Tulika had observed that many parents were facing a common issue: A cluttered home riddled with toys.
Taking the environment into consideration, she began working on the app.
The app is primarily catered for parents who're looking to get second-hand toys at an affordable price. The goal is to pass down toys as kids grow older.
Personally, as a parent, I feel it's an amazing initiative. It's a great way to reduce cost to purchase toys and save the environment at the same time.
During its beta launch, the app was a hit with parents. As many as 300 of them signed up with more than 250 toys uploaded in a matter of three weeks. Neat!
The app is only available in Singapore at the moment. However, if it does well, we might see it coming to other countries in the Southeast Asian region. Here's to keeping our fingers crossed.
